When pumping the hip in internal rotation it pumps the retrotrochanteric bursa and the internal rotators of the hip. This pump can also verify a true leg length discrepancy. When pumping the hip in external rotation it pumps the anterior part of the hip capsule, retrofemoral bursa and the external rotators of the hip.
